Professor Hu has a diverse background in academia, finance, and technology. He formerly worked at the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as a senior financial economist, responsible for research on finance and economics, as well as analysis and recommendations for monetary policy. After his time at the Federal Reserve, Professor Hu held various leadership positions in the financial industry, including VP for Fixed Income Research at Bankers Trust (Hong Kong), Senior VP for Greater China at BankBoston, and VP of Finance and Business Development at Precom, Inc. Since returning to China, Professor Hu has founded several startups, one of which was acquired by UFIDA, the largest business software company in Asia. In 2016-2017, he served as the CEO of the financial business branch of Xunlei, Inc., a company listed on NASDAQ. Professor Hu's research interests lie in the areas of FinTech, blockchain, wealth management, and financial institutions and markets. He is actively involved in various academic and
