MayCham China in Shanghai was launched in April 2005. This nascent organization provides a platform for networking with fellow Malaysians, local Chinese business communities and other foreigners. It aims at promoting and fostering good business relationships, sharing and learning amongst members and business communities and to facilitate as a conduit where information is exchanged.

MayCham China • Shanghai Office is active as organizer of events to enhance business ties and to encourage participation amongst members and business communities. It has thus far organized visits to industrial parks in China, charity golf tournaments, seminars, conferences and social events.
